I'm an innovative worker who enjoys design in both digital and physical media. I have a strong background in quick print and layout design. I'm proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, specializing in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I am also familiar with: QuarkXPress, the Microsoft Office Suite, Maya, 3ds Max, and Blender.
I can easily learn any new digital interface or proprietary software. I have hand-coded my website and have a working knowledge of HTML and CSS. I enjoy working in Windows, Mac OSX, and various Linux distributions.

Design flyers to promote library events. Set up a weekly e-newsletter through MailChimp, to advertise library programs. Manage library website. Provide one-on-one instruction to library members in the use of library online resources.
Optimized and formatted "hold" receipts for a more efficient workflow. Created a digital "lost / paid" receipt PDF form to replace carbon copy version. Conducted the library website migration to a new web host. Maintain and troubleshoot 17 public and staff desktop and laptop computers.

Printed and designed assorted office and promotional materials including business cards, letterhead, brochures, posters, etc. Performed photo manipulation and color correction to enhance customer images.
Managed a monthly newsletter for a distribution list of 3,000 people. Responsibilities included: artistic direction, layout design, typography, and creating ads.
Assigned design, production, and finishing tasks to other employees. Trained and supervised junior graphic designer. Instructed employees in the use of software, production, and finishing equipment. Answered employees' questions about all software.
Responsible for operation of all digital presses, including interfacing with an external CREO RIP. Minor company website management. Responsible for purchasing new software and hardware when necessary. Built five computers for the shop from scratch.
Broad range of clientele included: Chambers of Commerce, restaurants, medical and legal professions, automotive services, schools, architects, photography studios, real estate groups, libraries, museum, etc.

ACHIEVEMENTS
A poster and flyer, which I designed, won the Huntington Branch Library an award for "Outstanding Public Relations." This was a state-wide award presented by the Connecticut Library Association.
My artwork was selected for the "Made with Krita 2016" art book. I am one of forty artists from all over the world who contributed to this book using the open source painting software Krita.
